The three numbers
Most frames can be described with three measurements, in millimeters:
- Lens width: the horizontal width of one lens.
- Bridge: the distance between the lenses, across the nose.
- Temple: the length of the arm from the hinge to the tip.
How to measure a pair you already wear
Look inside the temple. You will often see a small marking such as 52-18-145. Those are lens, bridge, and temple.
Fit
A wider lens width sits larger on the face. A narrower bridge suits a narrower nose. Temple length should reach the ear without pressing. If you are between sizes, write to us with a photo of a pair that already fits and we will compare it with the frame you are considering.
On the product page
When we have measured a frame, the numbers appear under Measurements. If a number is missing, we have not published it for that pair yet.
